Braid to Order

Lauren Conrad is the seasons queen of the braided hairstyle. It seems like every picture I see of her has one of her signature braids.
Whether casual or formal, braids are perfect for the airy looks of summer. With the temperatures rising, the urge to sweep our hair off our face and neck has never been so tempting. The effortless style can be easily transfered from day to night occasions. Think braids are only for a day out at the beach? Add a chic hair accessory to create a more elegant look. Try a big messy braid, a braided upstyle, or a fishtail braid to cut down on time in the morning battling with your blow dryer. Love the braids you see on the red carpet and runways? Can't imagine doing them yourself? You're in luck! Salons across the country are incorporating braids into their styling services.

How To Create A Summer Side Braid

Step 1: Spray Paul Mitchell Extra Body Daily Boost to sections of your dry hair. Concentrate on the crown area and make sure the product reaches your scalp. Blow dry with Paul Mitchell 413 Sculpting Brush.

Step 2: Spray Kerastase Double Force Control Ultime and tease a few sections at the crown to add lift.

Step 3: Pull hair to desired side and braid a typical three-strand braid. Secure with an elastic.

Step 4: Gently pull and loosen a few pieces of the braided hair.
